EAE Business School Barcelona and ICEX-Invest in Spain boost international entrepreneurial talent

They are running the Rising Up in Spain program, designed to promote the establishment of foreign startups through EAE Entrepreneur Barcelona

EAE Business School Barcelona, which belongs to Planeta Formación y Universidades, and ICEX-Invest in Spain are partnering to boost the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Spain and attract international talent, through the Rising Up in Spain program, an initiative that aims to entice foreign startups that want to set themselves up in the country.

Masterminded by ICEX-Invest in Spain, the Rising Up in Spain program is a real win-win for foreign startups that want to base themselves and grow in Spain. The program offers legal advice for creating the company, as well as a customized acceleration program that includes a broad range of services, such as personalized mentoring, training, access to investors, information on support programs in Spain, and facilitating contact with local partners, to name just a few.

The partnership between the two institutions will enable the startups participating in the program that want to start their project in the Catalan capital can base themselves at EAE Entrepreneur Barcelona’s innovation and entrepreneurship hub, located at Pier 1. The implementation of new entrepreneurial ventures in the city boosts the development of connections, business competitiveness, technological innovation, job creation and the ability to attract investors. Moreover, it generates more learning synergies and bonds between the entrepreneurship ventures headed by students at EAE Barcelona.

In this regard, the Director of Finance and Investor Relations at ICEX-Invest in Spain, Alberto Sanz, underlines the importance of public-private collaboration for boosting the ability to attract talent and dynamize the Spanish entrepreneurial ecosystem. He also emphasizes that, in line with these goals, Rising Up in Spain “supports the implementation of foreign startups in Spain, facilitating their integration within our business community and striving to position Spain as one of the key technology and innovation hubs in Europe”.

Natalia Bagnati, the Director of EAE Entrepreneur Barcelona, explains that “with this partnership, we are highlighting EAE Business School Barcelona’s role as a key strategic partner in the Catalan entrepreneurial ecosystem. Moreover, it will strengthen Barcelona’s entrepreneurial and innovative mindset even further, dynamize its business community, attract talent and help reinforce the Catalan capital’s status as a leading European city in the field of entrepreneurship and innovation”.

The entrepreneurs and startups participating in the Rising Up in Spain program run by ICEX- Invest in Spain have access to critical resources for developing their initiatives thanks to access to the EAE Entrepreneur Barcelona’s EAE COLLAB Campus, based at Tech Barcelona.

“This is a collaborative space where entrepreneurial talent has unlimited access to opportunities for learning, professional development, networking and financing options, as well as the chance to boost their visibility and reputation in one of the key epicentres of innovation and entrepreneurship in the city of Barcelona: Tech Barcelona’s Pier01”, concludes Bagnati.
