EAE Business School Barcelona, which belongs to Planeta Formación y Universidades, has awarded grants to three students in recognition of their outstanding academic record over the course of their education and careers: Hilal Kovačević, a student from Bosnia Herzegovina on the Master in Project Management; Nicaraguan MBA student Maria José Saavedra; and Andrea Paras, a Mexican student on the Global Master en Sustainability and CSR.

During the award ceremony, the Dean of EAE Business School Barcelona, Enric Ordeix, emphasized that “many students applied for these grants, but you have come out on top. You are leaders and we expect you to become leaders who transform markets and people, acting as our ambassadors wherever your professional career takes you”.

The successful candidates expressed their joy and gratitude for receiving their respective grants. “It is great to get recognition for all the effort I have made throughout my professional life as one of the few female executives in a multinational company in the Americas”, explained Maria José Saavedra when receiving the Executive Woman grant. Hilal Kovačević, who was awarded the Academic Excellence grant expressed her pride at being an “ambassador for EAE Business School Barcelona and the fantastic opportunities it gives its students”. “This distinction is an acknowledgement of my hard work and dedication. It motivates me to take on new challenges”, she added.

Lastly, Andrea Paras, who connected to the award ceremony from Mexico, expressed his great excitement at receiving the grant for the best academic record of a student with functional diversity. “I have had the privilege of finding opportunities in which my personal experiences and circumstances have become tools for social transformation. For me, this grant shows that, by pulling down barriers, you can excel. I am really grateful to EAE Business School Barcelona for creating a place in which diversity and excellence go hand in hand”, explained the student.
